pinheiros

LinkedIn LATAM headquarters is located in the bustling Pinheiros neighborhood of São Paulo, Brasil. We contracted local architects, graphic designers, and project managers, and due to international customs processing, we specified beautifully craft brasilian furniture.

But it is the emphasis on local art that made this site a global standout, exhibiting thirteen regional artists across the campus. It was important to us for natives to tell the authentic story of the country in styles, colors, and narratives Brasilians appreciate.

bon día

The welcome center is perched on the 20th floor, the highest of the three-level campus, and employees are greeted with a locally sourced wood ceiling design, Brasilian made furniture, and the first of many artist installations, emphasizing the reception.

A custom concrete InBug, covered in LinkedIn blue terrazzo, anchors the entrance to the central staircase.

maximalism

Working with Brasilian architects was a crash course in maximalism, eccentricity, and a courageous approach to color story. Every space makes a statement without overwhelming the architecture or interiors.

Authentic materials, a nod to the natural beauty of Brasil’s diverse terrains, balance the louder activations.

terreno brasileiro

Since the central staircase is the primary connection in the campus, we commissioned Brasilian artist Bruno Big to emphasize the three terrains celebrated throughout the site: mountains, forest, and beaches. The transition from one to the next is captured in his continuous mural as one transcends the stair in either direction.

otherspace

Due to the cultural dynamic of Brasilian communities, we were already prioritizing space for connection prior to the pandemic. The ratio of forecasted growth of teams to square footage offered generous real estate for these pockets of ‘otherspace’. An unenclosed library-esque lounge, a tech corner with a residential-like waiting area, a warm and inviting fitness studio—all provided employees with different methods of connecting to their colleagues, or even to themselves.
